The special exhibition „Gene – Vielfalt des Lebens“ (“Genes – Diversity of Life”) at the LWL Museum für Naturkunde (LWL Museum of Natural History) offers insights into the world of genetics. As part of the exhibition this interactive station focuses on “Plant Breeding” explained through the breeding of cabbage. Creating the setup of a market stand provides visitors with a tangible way to engage with the abstract topic, making it more accessible and relatable. They are introduced to “Plant Breeding” through short informational texts and can playfully learn more about cabbage and the genetic background by picking up the illustrated cabbage heads. The drawings for this project were created digitally.
